Sagewood Early Learning Opens New Centre in Baldivis

Families in Baldivis now have access to a new high-quality early learning environment, with Sagewood Early Learning officially opening the doors of its purpose-built centre in the community.

The new centre welcomes children from eight weeks through to five years of age, providing nurturing care and early education during the most important years of development. Once fully operational, the centre can accommodate up to 110 children across carefully designed learning environments that reflect Sagewood’s commitment to high-quality early childhood education.

As a family-owned Western Australian provider, Sagewood Early Learning has built a strong reputation for creating warm, supportive environments where children feel safe, valued and encouraged to explore.

Purpose-Built Learning Spaces

The Baldivis centre has been thoughtfully designed to support children at each stage of development. Five dedicated learning environments allow children to progress at a pace that reflects their individual growth and learning.

These environments include:

  • Cocoon

  • Bambini

  • Piccolo

  • Garden Room

  • Children’s House

Each space has been carefully created to nurture curiosity, independence and confidence as children develop new skills and relationships.

Rather than focusing strictly on age groups, children are supported to move through the learning environments based on their development, helping to foster capability and a strong sense of self.

A Montessori-Inspired Approach to Early Learning

Sagewood’s educational philosophy draws inspiration from Montessori-inspired principles, encouraging children to learn through exploration, discovery and meaningful play.

Learning environments feature natural materials, wooden resources and open-ended experiences designed to inspire creativity and independent thinking. Indoor and outdoor areas connect seamlessly, allowing children to move freely between spaces and explore their environment in a calm and engaging setting.

This approach supports children to develop confidence, curiosity and a lifelong love of learning.

Supporting the Growing Baldivis Community

Baldivis continues to grow as more families move into the area, and access to high-quality early learning has become increasingly important for local parents.

The new Sagewood Early Learning centre has opened in response to this demand, providing families with a nurturing environment and a new option for childcare in Baldivis close to home.

For the Sagewood team, opening the Baldivis centre has been something families have been asking about for some time.

“Families have been asking us to open in Baldivis for a while. We see a real need in the community for centres with hands-on owners who are present, invested and genuinely focused on delivering the highest standard of education and care,” says Jay Barr from Sagewood Early Learning.

Partnering With Families

At Sagewood Early Learning, strong relationships with families are central to the way each centre operates.

Educators work closely with parents and caregivers to support children’s emotional wellbeing, social development and early learning journeys. By creating welcoming and inclusive environments, Sagewood aims to build genuine partnerships with families throughout the early years.

This focus on connection and communication helps children feel secure and supported as they grow and learn.

Welcoming Families to Sagewood Baldivis

The Sagewood Early Learning team is excited to now be welcoming families through the doors of the new Baldivis centre.
