Our Joondalup playgroup gives children a full hour to explore on a Monday morning. We welcome a wide age range, from confident one year olds through to curious five year olds, which means brothers and sisters can come along and enjoy the morning side by side.
There is no limit on numbers and no need for your child to be enrolled with us. Parents and carers travel from Edgewater, Currambine, Connolly, Ocean Reef and Kinross to spend time with other local families, and to give their little ones a change of scene at the start of the week.
how the morning unfolds
The space is ready when you arrive at 9.30am, with resources chosen to suit every child in the room, from Bambini materials for our youngest visitors to Children's House activities for those heading towards school. We look at our calendar of events together and set up experiences that follow whatever is happening that week, then leave the children free to explore what interests them most.
When the group is in the mood for fresh air, we head outside. Our younger children love the Bambini outdoor environment, and an older group will usually explore the Piccolo outdoor space, though families who would rather stay in the large indoor area are always welcome to do so.
As the hour draws to a close, the children help to return the resources to the mat, which is a small job that quietly builds independence and a sense of belonging. We finish at 10.30am with a few songs and our goodbye song, and we look forward to seeing you the following week.

Playgroup is led by TBC, with support from Kathryn on some weeks. TBC knows every family at Sagewood Joondalup, and she is always happy to answer questions about the morning or about early learning more broadly.

Some of our children have allergies, we are not able to provide food or have it brought into the room, though there are comfortable chairs in the foyer if your baby needs a bottle or a feed.
If a session ever needs to be cancelled, we will send you an email and share a note on our Facebook page.
